Images from Provence, France, May, 2001

We took a wonderful trip to Provence, France in May, 2001. The plethora of 3D photo opportunities made it easy to get some really spectacular images. Many of these have their standard counterparts posted in the Scenic/France section, and those files will have a clickable (scene) icon.

The pairs are all 370 pixels per frame (740 for the pair), and the anaglyphs are all large, on the order of 700x1000. Click the thumbnail for the pair, or the anaglyph glasses icon for the anaglyph version. Either way, hover the mouse over what you want to click, and it'll show you the file size.

This is one of my all-time favorite anaglyphs, and is of the town of Vinsobres, just west of Nyons. The baseline was about 15 meters 196kb

The corner of west and north wings of the chateau in Grignan (the tower is visible in the previous shot). See the sundial gnomon?

This is of my favorites. Baseline was about 15 meters. The whole scene looks like a model. There's a detail of the upper half, too 235kb

Another of my favorites, this is a beautiful example of a stone arch over a street, this one in the town of Vaison-la-Romaine
